Moving on...

Sometimes we want the moving on process to be easy but the key part of that phrase is process. It isn't going to happen overnight by any means. It's messy and it's hard. We have to constantly remind ourselves that just because today is hard doesn't mean tomorrow will be. Some days are good and some days suck but even on our worst of days you have to recognize that things are getting better. You have to step back and be content with the progress you make. Be proud when you don't cry one day. Be proud when you don't think to call them first when something happens. Shrug it off when you have a bad day. It's a process. One day you will be fine and flirting with someone new, the next you may lay in bed for an hour before you can fall asleep. It's okay! Somedays it's simply still going to hurt. One day you will feel ready and the next you'll feel back at square one. Don't freak out. Don't push yourself. Breath... Smile... Relax... Go out with friends. Flirt with someone. Kiss someone when you feel like it, but don't be afraid to take the time to stay home one night and let yourself breath. Just remember this isn't permanent. One day smiling wont feel so fake, one day you'll find someone new to be comfortable with && one day you'll be able to look back and see just much stronger you are because of this.
